On April 12, 2010, The Walkabout Foundation met Shakira who immediately expressed admiration for Walkabout’s cause and endorsed its mission. Shakira generously signed 3 “Walkabout Haiti” t-shirts to be auctioned off in order to benefit Walkabout’s initiatives in Haiti. Here is Shakira proudly holding up a Walkabout t-shirt!
Walkabout traveled to Cap Haitien in the very north of Haiti to donate 25 wheelchairs to Haiti Hospital Appeal. This is a video of a room full of patients singing together in harmony as a means of praying.
