November Fest at The Cross Keys

On Friday, November 20th, The Cross Keys pub in London hosted “November Fest,” a fundraiser event for The Walkabout Foundation. Thanks to the generosity and support of the pub’s owner Andrew Bourne, the event was a fun-filled party with exciting highlights such as a fire-eater, magician, an ice shot slide, and guitar hero.

The Cross Keys sponsored a delicious dinner of pecking duck, spring rolls, mini burgers, shepherd’s pie, and sticky toffee pudding. The event was attended by more than 300 people throughout the night and lasted well past midnight.

There was great music, dancing, and laughter. Photographs of Walkabout 2009 in Spain were displayed throughout the venue and a mini auction was held. Alaistar Balfour’s cooking skills were auctioned off, as were Sogol Samadi and Angelica Donati’s Christmas shopping skills.

The event not only raised 8,000 pounds for Walkabout, but also brought in a diverse crowd from London, a whole new group of friends and supporters for Walkabout!
